The Coalition for Fair Insurance works to protect consumers, businesses and communities by advocating for fairly priced, affordable insurance rates. Consumers benefit when information is used to accurately and fairly assess liability and risk to get the lowest price possible for all customers. Most people save money when credit is used to assess how much you pay for insurance. Sadly, politicians in Oregon and Washington are trying to take that away, which could mean higher prices. Without these tools, insurance rates could go up for millions of Oregonians and Washingtonians who are already struggling to pay bills during the COVID-19 pandemic recession.
We aim to defeat proposals that would increase the costs of auto, home and renters insurance in our states and stand ready to work with lawmakers to improve the affordability and access to insurance products.
